Mississippi State Moves Up In Rankings Again

STARKVILLE, MS (Ben Caxton) — After dismantling Kentucky 45-7 on Saturday, Mississippi State is once again knocking on the door of the top 25. The 5-2 Bulldogs received 43 votes in the AP Top 25 and 19 votes in the Amway Coaches Poll, putting them at #28 in both polls. Mississippi State travels to College Station Saturday to face #24 Texas A&M. Not only did Ole Miss lose 40-24 to LSU last Saturday, they also lost quarterback Shea Patterson for the rest of the season with a torn right PCL. Through the Rebels’ first seven games, Patterson threw for over 220 yards and 17 touchdowns.
