Mississippi River Casino Revenues Drop 13%

JACKSON (Ben Caxton) — January casino revenues were down statewide according to newly released State Revenue Department figures. Statewide casinos raked in seven percent less than a year ago. But Mississippi’s sixteen river casinos fared even worse helping gambler’s part with 13% less of their money than at this time in 2016. Revenues in January totalled $67 million, compared to $77 million a year ago. Total gambling losses by gamblers statewide last month came to $166 million.
