Mississippi Residents Lose Insurance

Mississippi Insurance Commissioner Mike Chaney reports that fewer than 500 people in the state have been notified that will lose existing health care coverage due the new Affordable Care Act, which requires that plans meet certain criteria in order to count as acceptable coverage. Opponents of Obamacare says promises that people could keep existing coverage have turned out not to be true, while supporters say those low-quality insurance plans leave people in the lurch when it’s time to actually use them.
