Mississippi Republicans Looking For A New Chairman

Chicot Memorial

JACKSON, MS (Ben Caxton) — Mississippi’s Republican Party is looking for a new chairman. In a letter to Governor Phil Bryant Joe Nosef says he’s stepping down from the post he’s held for nearly six years. The Clarksdale native plans to focus on his family and law practice. The GOP has seen gains in state and local offices held by Republicans under Nosef, clinching a supermajority in both the House and Senate for the first time since Reconstruction.
