Mississippi Has Lowest Gas Prices In The Country

MISSISSIPPI (Ben Caxton) — Gas prices across the nation keep going down and Mississippi has the lowest prices in the country. San Francisco has the most expensive gas in the contiguous 48 states with an average price of $3, but the lowest is $1.92 in Jackson, Mississippi. The national average has dropped over a penny this week to $2.24 per gallon but Arkansas seems to be bucking the trend as prices went up about a half a cent last week to an average of $2 per gallon. That’s up about 3.5 cents per gallon from the average last year, but down 4.5 cents per gallon than the price a month ago.
