Mississippi Firm Lands Big Army Helicopter Contract

COLUMBUS, MS (Ben Caxton) — A Columbus company has been awarded a $273.2 million contract to build thirty-five UH-72A helicopters for the U.S. Army. Airbus Helicopters in Lowndes County will receive $136.6 million over two years with all work to be done at their plant in Columbus. The work is expected to be completed in early March of 2021.
