Missing Person Case Turns to Murder in Yazoo County

YAZOO COUNTY, MS (Ben Caxton) — A Benton man is charged with murder in a missing person’s case that turned into a murder investigation in Yazoo County. 38-year old Tommy White Jr. was arrested Sunday and is charged with the murder of Phillip Dunn. Dunn was reported missing on February 12th after his family had not heard from him for about a week. His body has yet to be located but his vehicle was found abandoned on Highway 49 with traces of blood. 36-year-old Marcus Journigan was being sought as a suspect in Dunn’s death when his body was found on railroad tracks in Jackson on February 13th. He had been shot multiple times.
