Minor Earthquake Felt in Northern Mississippi

BOONEVILLE, MS (Ben Caxton) — More than a dozen people took to the internet to report feeling a minor 2.3 magnitude earthquake in northern Mississippi Wednesday evening. The 8-mile deep quake struck just east of Booneville, near the Tennessee state line, at about 6:45 PM Wednesday. The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake was felt as 234 miles away in Kentucky.
