McGehee Man Sentenced to Life in Prison

DREW COUNTY, AR (Ben Caxton) — A McGehee man was sentenced to life in prison in a Drew County courtroom Wednesday. 25-year-old Jarell Terry was convicted by a Drew County jury of first-degree murder, aggravated robbery and theft in the November 2017 fatal shooting of 20-year-old Christon Sheets at his home in Wilmar. Sheets was shot twice in the abdomen and died at a local hospital. Terry was arrested by U.S. marshals in Pulaski County two days later. Terry received a life sentence for murder, a life sentence for aggravated robbery, and a 15-year sentence for theft. 24-year-old Dominze Figures, also charged in Sheets’ death, has not yet been tried.
