Masks Recommended for Allergic Jackson Air Breathers

JACKSON, MS (Ben Caxton) — A new report from the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America ranks Jackson, Mississippi third and Memphis the fourth worst cities for allergies. This spring allergies seem to be particularly bad, likely because cold temperatures have stayed in place longer than usual. Tree pollen is especially bad right now and in addition to taking over the counter medications, experts recommend that allergy sufferers should limit their time outdoors, try to wear a mask while working outside and change the filters on their air-conditioner.
