Marks High School Students Give 1000 Thanks

MARKS, MS (Ben Caxton) — Graduates of Madison Palmer High school in Marks have ten times more reasons to thank educators Dr. Michael Cormack and his wife Krystal. The couple recently expanded their $1000 Cormack Family Scholarship to a $10,000 Cormack Family Scholarship Endowment Fund. The increase allows their initial $1000 gift, a one-time scholarship for Palmer High graduate who matriculates at DSU as a full-time or part-time undergraduate, to be given every year in perpetuity. Michael is now chief of staff for Jackson Public Schools and Krystal works for the state department of education in Jackson; they say finding money for higher education can be challenging and they want to have the same doors open for Quitman County students as were open for them.
