Man Shot While Driving on Vicksburg Highway

WARREN COUNTY, MS (Ben Caxton) — A Vicksburg man was shot over the weekend as he was driving along Highway 27 south of Vicksburg. Authorities say Marlon Robinson was headed southbound on the highway around 4:00 AM Saturday morning when a passing car opened fire on Robinson’s vehicle. The car went off the right side of the road and hit standing water in a ditch. A witness to the wreck helped Robinson get out of the car and called 911. Robinson was wounded in the face. He was taken to Merit Health River Region and later transferred to University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson for treatment of his injuries.

  1. I figure two guys, “just out for some fun”. From the looks of it, victim unknown to them – thrill crime by a psycho. They are probably new at this. The man could have been killed. They’ll brag to someone.
