Man Pleads Guilty to Burning Officer’s Vehicle

EL DORADO, AR (Ben Caxton) — An El Dorado man didn’t like that he was being investigated by an Arkansas Game and Fish Commission officer. So, he decided to set the officer’s vehicle on fire. 48-year-old Harold Scott Otwell plead guilty last week in the incident and was sentenced to a total of 10 years in prison. Court documents say Otwell used a second person in an effort to contact and intimidate a potential juror in the attempted arson case and that person cooperated with investigators.
