Lousiana Dog Shot Twice Recovering in Vicksburg

VICKSBURG, MS (Ben Caxton) — A Vicksburg animal shelter is now home to Riley, a 2-year-old Great Dane shot twice in the head in Lafayette, Louisiana, eight months ago. A witness to the shooting that left Riley blind in one eye that’s backed by a bullet and partially blind in the other eye, rushed the dog to a veterinarian for treatment. Still recovering, she is now being cared at Vicksburg shelter “Helping Animals Reach Tomorrow” to help her recover from malnourishment and prepare for adoption.
