Life in Prison for Two Clarksdale Murderers

CLARKSDALE, MS (Ben Caxton) — Two Clarksdale men will spend life in prison for murders they committed in 2013 and 2015. 24-year old Cedric Collins was sentenced last month by Judge Charles Webster after a jury found him guilty of capital murder and conspiracy to commit robbery in the shooting death of Davis Goon. Goon was shot inside his grocery store on December 26, 2013. Judge Albert Smith also sentenced Anthony Edtrel Giles to life without parole after being found guilty of two first-degree murder counts by a jury. A verbal argument that turned physical ended in the shooting deaths of two men outside a nightclub on April 2, 2015.
