Lawsuits Follow Landlords Over Katrina Loans

(Mississippi)– Landlords are the target for the state of Mississippi, since they failed to abide by the terms of their loan agreements which involved fixing property after Hurricane Katrina. Over 60 lawsuits have been filed by the Mississippi Development Authority and they have recovered $630,000 in funds the Urban Development and U.S. Department of Housing provided to the state of Mississippi after Katrina.
