Lawsuit Filed over Greenwood Arrest

GREENWOOD, MS (Ben Caxton) — A Greenwood man is suing the city in Federal Court for violating his 4th and 14th Amendment rights. Bertram “Bert” Keys identified as a Greenwood Raiders football coach in papers filed by his attorneys, says Greenwood Police Chief Ray Moore and at least four police officers shot him twice with a stun gun, searched him, arrested him and held him in jail for four days and wound up not pressing any charges. Keys says in his lawsuit this a violation of his Constitutional Rights. The incident took place in the fall of 2016.
