Lady Bulldogs Fail in Third Straight Ncaa Run

PORTLAND, OR (Ben Caxton) — The Mississippi State Lady Bulldogs have fallen short in their bid to become the seventh team to reach the Final Four three straight years, losing 88-84 to Oregon on Sunday. SEC Player of the Year Teaira McCowan had 19 points and 15 rebounds in her final game for Mississippi State. The Bulldogs had played in the NCAA title game for the past two seasons but two of Mississippi State’s three losses this season were to Oregon, one in Eugene and the other in yesterday’s Elite Eight game in Portland.
