Judge Denies Bond For Kindergarten Killers

MADISON COUNTY, MS (Ben Caxton) — A judge has denied bail to three teenagers accused of killing a 6-year-old boy. Madison County Justice Court Judge Bruce McKinley sent co-defendants Byron McBride, Dwan Diandro Wakefield, and DeAllen Washington back to jail yesterday to await hearings next month. Prosecutors haven’t decided whether they will seek the death penalty against the 19-year old McBride. The other two are ineligible for the death penalty because they were younger than 18 when the crime was committed. They are accused in last Thursday’s shooting death of Kingston Frazier who was asleep in the back of his mother’s car when it was stolen. Court papers show Wakefield told investigators that McBride stole the car and shot the boy.
