It’s Election Day Across The Delta

MISSISSIPPI (Ben Caxton) — Municipal Primary Elections are being held across the state of Mississippi today. Polls will be open until 7:00 PM. Any voter in line at that time is entitled to cast a ballot. Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann urged Mississippians to go vote saying that if you’re concerned about policy-making and decisions directly impacting your daily life, including your roads, garbage pick-up, or street lights, cast a ballot. The Secretary of State’s Office will have 15 observers in 24 municipalities across the State. Problems at the polls observed by Secretary of State staff or otherwise reported to the Elections Division will be referred to the proper municipal election officials or authorities. Before you head out, don’t forget to bring your photo ID and if you’re not sure where to vote, check your voter registration card. The Mississippi Secretary of State’s website also has a polling place locator, just type in your address to find your precinct.
