Inmate Killed During Escape Attempt at Arkansas Prison

(Lincoln County, AR) — An escape attempt has left a convicted murderer dead. 41-year-old Christopher Wilson, an inmate at the Arkansas Department of Corrections, was shot and killed by a corrections officer while trying to escape Thursday. Wilson was convicted of two counts of capital murder in the 2002 killing of a Faulkner County mother and her 8-month-old infant and was given a life sentence without the possibility of parole.
