Indianola Man Stopped from Being Alabama Pimp

TUSCALOOSA, AL (Ben Caxton) — An Indianola man had his dreams of starting a business in Alabama thwarted by police in that state last week. Authorities say 37-year-old Torian Bryson Brown was contacting women who had placed online ads trying to recruit them for a commercial sex operation in Tuscaloosa. Brown’s employee recruitment speech apparently needed a bit of polishing however as one of the women he contacted instead called police telling them she was scared by some of the things Brown told her. Brown was arrested Wednesday by officers with the West Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force and charged with second-degree promoting prostitution and unrelated identity theft charges. Police say they assisted an unidentified woman who has been traveling with Brown. Additional charges are pending in the case.
