Indianola Fire Chief Tenders Resignation

Chicot Memorial

INDIANOLA, MS (Ben Caxton) — Indianola is getting a new Fire Chief. Current Chief Eugene Snipes tendered his resignation this week. At a meeting the Indianola Board of Aldermen voted unanimously to accept Snipes desire to retire. The city won’t be without a leader at the fire department for long however. At the same time the board voted to offer the position to Captain Orlando Battle, who will now take over as Chief for Snipes.
