In The U.S. Harmful Algae is on the Rise

(Little Rock, AR)– Harmful Algae has caused the first national reporting system to protect people and pets launched by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Algae produces toxins that get into the air, food and water, that can cause illness in humans and pets. Algae also depletes the oxygen in water, killing fish, birds and other mammals. The CDC has a new website that is open to the public with information about this harmful algae.
