Hello, I’m Tony, and I’m a "landshark"

OXFORD, MS (Ben Caxton) — The University of Mississippi unveiled their new mascot and three new secondary logos last weekend. Tony the Landshark replaces the Rebel Black Bear, which replaced Colonel Reb in 2010 after criticism that the controversial old man was racially insensitive. The Landshark refers to the “Fins Up” gesture linebacker Tony Fein first busted out in 2008. After his death in 2009, Ole Miss athletes have carried on the tradition of the Landshark.
