Health Department confirms more West Nile Virus

The Health Department has confirmed three new human cases of the mosquito-borne West Nile Virus, which bring 2014’s totals to 43 cases and five deaths. Locally, cases remain at one each in Bolivar, Coahoma and Washington Counties. West Nile ranges from mild to serious and is often mistaken for the flu.
