Handing out Bibles at a public school in Mississippi has captured the attention of national Atheist organization

A Washington DC based Atheist group sent a letter of complaint to a Mississippi school principal this week over a recent Bible giveaway on school campus. A spokesman for the National Humanist Association said they were supporting a student who said she felt pressured to participate in prayer at Northwest Rankin Elementary School in Rankin County. The group says the school is violating the First Amendment separating church and state.
