Guntown Man Arrested For Murder In Bones Case

GUNTOWN, MS (Ben Caxton) — A Guntown man has been arrested for the murder of a woman whose skeletal remains were found in a shallow grave two weeks ago. 22-year old David Wayne Fisher III was arrested Friday without incident near his home in Lee County, close to where the remains were discovered. DNA testing has confirmed the victim is 38-year-old Lynda Pope Reed. She had not been seen for about two months but had not been reported missing. Her remains were found April 15th. Authorities say the two were in a relationship, but how she died has not been determined.
