Greenwood Leflore Hospital CEO Fired

GREENWOOD, MS (Ben Caxton) — After just 10 months on the jon, Greenwood Leflore Hospital Interium CEO Subho Basu is looking for work. Without explanation, and effective immediately, the hospital board Thursday voted to terminate Basu at a special meeting yesterday. Basu was hired in October of last year after the board fired the last CEO, long-time administrator Jim Jackson. A statement released to the media said the board believes the decision is “in the best long-term interest” of the hospital. Hospital Cheif Financial Officer Dawne Holmes takes over as interim CEO while the board conducts a search for a Basu’s replacement.
