Greenwood Hospital Ceo Fired by Board

GREENWOOD, MS (Ben Caxton) — In an expanding house-cleaning the Greenwood Leflore Hospital board has voted to fire its chief executive officer, Jim Jackson. The firing comes after a financial audit that showed the hospital had lost $22.4 million last year, the second year in a row of multi-million dollar losses. The hospital’s chief financial officer, Dawne Holmes, will take over Jackson’s day-to-day duties while the hospital conducts a search for a new CEO. Jackson has worked at Greenwood Leflore Hospital since 2000.
