Greenwood Chief Returns to Work After Stroke

GREENWOOD, MS (Ben Caxton) — Greenwood’s Chief of Police, Ray Moore, has returned to work after a nearly 3-month absence. The 62-year-old was hospitalized at Greenwood Leflore Hospital after suffering a stroke in late October. He’s been undergoing physical therapy since that time but remained in contact with city officials to stay up-to-date. Moore was replaced by Assistant Police Chief Marvin Hammond during his recovery.
