Greenville’s revenue is on the rise, even with the recent decline in gaming revenue

Steve Osso, the city’s external financial consultant, told the City Council this week that total revenue for this fiscal year for the first nine months is more than 12.6 million dollars, which represents a 4.8 percent increase from last year. That is despite a sharp decrease in gaming, which analysts attributed to increased gaming competition from Louisiana and Arkansas, and fewer people having disposable income to spend on gaming.
