Greenville Truck Rollover Causes Oil Spill

Chicot Memorial

GREENVILLE, MS (Ben Caxton) — A late Wednesday afternoon accident led to an oil cleanup operation in Greenville. Firefighters were dispatched to Harbor Front Road for an 18-Wheeler Truck that had overturned and was on fire with a victim still inside around 4:00 PM. By the time they arrived, no fire or smoke could be seen and the driver had already exited the truck with minor injuries. He was transported by EMS to Delta Regional Medical Center for treatment. The rollover caused a large oil spill and city workers were called in with a sand truck to clean the mess. Firefighters stood by as a precaution until a wrecker had removed the damaged semi.
