Greenville Teenagers Wounded In Shootout By 15-Year-Old

GREENVILLE, MS (Ben Caxton) — Two Greenville teenagers were wounded after an argument escalated into a gunfight. Greenville Police were called to the 1800 block of College Street Monday evening shortly after 8:00 PM. At the scene, officers discovered two young black men, one 18 years old, and the 15 years old with gunshot wounds. The 15-year-old had been shot in the left side of his head and was first transported to Delta Regional and then airlifted to a hospital in Jackson in stable condition. The 18-year-old was also treated at DRMC and released. Investigators identified another 15-year-old, Bryan Brown, as the suspected shooter. He was taken in into custody in the 700 block of Sampson Street without incident. Brown, who has been charged as an adult, faces two counts of aggravated assault. Bond has set at $100,000.
