Greenville Public School District cited by the state education department

Chicot Memorial

The Mississippi Department of Education found more than 20 areas that need correction during an audit of the Greenville Public School District. The unannounced audit was held the first week in October. The recently announced results indicated that the district has been asked to correct problem areas in time for the 2013-2014 school year. Officials cited ineffective instruction taking place in almost half of classes. Some of the other citations involved more minor issues.
