Greenville Police have arrested a man for allegedly stealing from Greenville’s water supply

Police have charged 32-year-old Byron (bye-ron) Coleman of Greenville with theft of utilities, after he allegedly tapped into the city water supply without paying for it at his property on U.S. 82. Officials say theft of utilities is common and can also occur with cable and electricity. The charge can carry a sentence of up to three months in jail and a 500 dollar fine. Coleman posted bond and is due back in court on September 9th.
