Greenville Mayor’s Open Forum Against Violence Today

Chicot Memorial

GREENVILLE, MS (Ben Caxton) — Greenville Mayor Errick Simmons “Forum Against Violence gets underway today at 4:00 PM at City Hall during a special meeting of the Greenville City Council. Amid a recent increase in violent crime in Greenville including murders, police-involved shooting deaths, and most recently the killing of a 15-year-old high-school student the meeting has been called to share opinions and look for answers in addressing public safety, including gang violence, illegal drug use, juvenile delinquency, and mental health issues. City representatives and community leaders will be on hand to discuss what more can be done, including a look at city curfew laws.
