Greenville Man Held On Attempted Murder Charges


GREENVILLE, MS (Ben Caxton) — A Greenville man has had bail set at $250,000 on attempted murder charges. Police say 22-year-old Lavarius Barber made have used a November 2016 incident that resulted in a dead horse to attempt to make a dead human out of a 17-year-old male Tuesday night. Assistant Greenville Police Chief Michael Merchant says the teenager was shot by Barber and transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson for treatment.
