Greenville is getting ready for the holiday season

The theme of this year’s Christmas Parade was decided on by the Main Street promotion committee. Parade entries are already being accepted for “The Sights and Sounds of Christmas” scheduled for December 5. An exact time will be announced later and the parade will be limited to the first 30 paid vehicles at 50- dollars each and they must be decorated with bows, crepe paper and other holiday accessories. Float entries will cost 50- dollars each for profit organizations and no charge for nonprofits. Walking groups and bands will not be charged an entry fee. All bands and vehicles can only play Christmas music and dance groups can only perform Christmas appropriate routines.
