Greenville Council Members Hosting "town Hall" Meetings

GREENVILLE, MS (Ben Caxton) — It’s time to sound off if you’re in Greenville. Tonight is the first in a series of “Town Hall” meetings being held by Greenville City Council members to hear concerns of residents and discuss current local issues. At 6:00 PM Mayor Simmons and Ward 1 Councilman Al Brock will be at the Buster Brown Community Center. The meeting will begin with the Mayor outlining current city projects now in the middle of budget planning for the coming year. Followed by Simmons and Brock taking questions from the public. Lurann Thomas will hold a meeting Thursday at the Senior Citizen Center on North Shelby Street. Next week on Monday the 23rd Carolyn?Weathers and Tasha Bailey of Wards 3 & 5 will be at the Elwyn Ward Recreation Center on Highway 1 South. Ward 2 Councilwoman Lois Hawkins will face the public at Serene Elks Lodge No. 567, on East Alexander Street Tuesday the 24th. And Ward 6 Councilman James Wilson will be at the Amy Covington Center on 624 Hernando Street Thursday the 26th.
