Greenville 13-Year-Old Critical After Being Shot

GREENVILLE, MS (Ben Caxton) — A 13-year-old Greenville boy is fighting for his life after being found shot Thursday evening. Police responding to a call at Moore and McAllister Streets in Greenville around 6:30 PM discovered the victim, a black child, who they say appeared to have been shot at least twice. Emergency Medical Personal were called and transported the victim to Delta Regional Medical Center where he was flown immediately to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson for treatment. At least report the boy was listed in critical condition. Greenville Police Spokesman Michael Merchant said no information is available on the attempted murder at this time but investigators of the Criminal Investigation Division are currently following up leads.
