The City of Greenville will use a 35-thousand dollar transportation grant to provide summer jobs for 12 young adults. The workers, who are 16 to 25 years old, will work on landscaping and transportation projects. Participants must be enrolled in, or a graduate of, a Greenville High School. One of their projects will involve cleaning, edging, mowing and removing litter on major roads such as U.S. 82, Mississippi 1 and Broadway Street. Officials said the program also helps instill pride in Greenville.
