GREENVILLE, MS (Ben Caxton) — If you’re hungry for pancakes, sausage, bacon, and more you’re in luck this morning. Kiwanis Club members are doing the cooking right now over at the Buster Brown Community Center across from the Greenville High School until about 10:30 this morning. And it’s all you can eat. Kiwanis President Tommy Tatum “Five dollars all you can eat pancakes, bacon, sausage, and you can also get some chocolate milk, juice, and coffee.” The club expects to serve some 1,500 breakfasts this morning, and raise about $10,000 in the process. “This is our only fundraiser of the year in which we collect funds for us to distribute to kids groups throughout the Delta. All the money from the pancake breakfast does go to help kids with scholarships, going on church camp meetings, and all kinds of things like that.” Bing’s County Market donated supplies including the pancake batter, and syrup. The bacon is courtesy of the Trop Casino Greenville, and Sherman’s restaurant donated the “to go” butters and syrups. So stop by, you’ve got until 10:30 “It’s a delicious pancake, bacon, and sausage [breakfast] and you’ll help children when you do it.”
