Gasoline Prices Down This Week

THE DELTA (Ben Caxton) — Gasoline prices nationally have dropped 2.7 cents per gallon this week. Gas is about 4 cents per gallon cheaper than it was a year ago and 28 cents per gallon lower than last month. In many parts of the mid-south prices are at a two-year low, averaging $2.11 a gallon in Memphis, $2.06 a gallon in Little Rock and $1.98 a gallon in Shreveport. Prices are expected to continue falling for at least another week as OPEC countries have agreed to curb oil production.
