Gasoline Prices Down Slightly Across The Delta

JACKSON, MS (Ben Caxton) — Gas prices are dropping a little. GasBuddy.com reports that the national average is $2.45 per gallon, and have fallen 3.3 cents per gallon in the past week to an average of $2.18 per gallon on Sunday in Arkansas – 14.7 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and 17.7 cents per gallon lower than a month ago. Experts expect prices to continue falling as supply outpaces demand and gasoline inventories continue to recover from an active hurricane season. Arkansas is tied with Oklahoma for the cheapest gas in the country while Mississippi’s average is $2.23 for a gallon of regular. The state’s cheapest gas is in Gulfport at $2.03 a gallon.
