Funeral services have been held for two local notables

Longtime Bolivar County Constable Robert Lee Scott was honored during services Saturday at Vernon Memorial Church. He died in a Jackson hospital on October 23rd at the age of 72 after an illness. Funeral services were Saturday at First Baptist Church of Leland for Rusty King, the longest-tenured member of the Leland Board of Aldermen. He died in his sleep during a hunting trip in South Carolina at the age of 59.
