Former Officer pleads Guilty

A former Greenville Police Officer has pleaded guilty to charges connected to a case in which three officers were accused of knocking a man to the ground during a routine traffic stop and stealing 13-hundred dollars from his wallet. Former Officer Cedric Sorrell pleaded guilty to withholding information in a deal in which other charges were dropped. Earlier this month, Bryant Maurice Kennedy pleaded guilty in the case. A trial is set for February for the third officer, Samuel McVey.
