Former Nursing Center Director Arrested

(Natchez, MS) — A former director of nursing at a nursing center in Adams County has been arrested. 41-year-old Kimberly Lindsey of Natchez was arrested for embezzling a controlled substance. In a news release Wednesday, Attorney General Jim Hood said Lindsey surrendered to Adams County sheriff’s deputies following a recent indictment by the Adams County grand jury. An investigation revealed that Lindsey allegedly embezzled Hydrocodone, a schedule II narcotic, through her former employment as director of nursing at the Adams County Nursing Center. Lindsey’s arraignment is scheduled for Thursday and her bond has been set at $10,000. If convicted, Lindsey would face up to five years in prison and a $1,000 fine.
