Flash Flood Warning Continues

A Flash Flood warning issued late Wednesday evening continues for Greenville, including western Washington, and Bolivar counties.

Rainfall in downtown Greenville totaled over three and a half inches – just between 11:00pm and midnight Wednesday. The two day total from Tuesday afternoon through midnight Wednesday reached an astounding fourteen point four-four inches, with rain continuing to fall at the rate of nearly four inches per hour as of 12:30am.

Flooding is expected this morning in Greenville, Leland, Shelby, Avon, Scott, Metcalfe, Benoit, Gunnison, Winterville, Jersey Point, Deeson, Wayside, Lamont, Duncan, Beulah, Pace, Alligator, and Winstonville among others.
