First Alien Landing Lights, Now Sewage Potholes, On Browning Road

GREENWOOD, MS (Ben Caxton) — Leflore County which had previously announced adding UFO’s, or “Unfamiliar Flashing Orbs” on Browning Road, may need to repurpose the lights for a different emergency – sewage potholes. Apparently, more than 500 feet of sewage pipeline will need to be immediately replaced along the road in the City of Greenwood after what Greenwood public works officials describe as a collapse in an old sewer pipe running underneath. Motorists called the city on Monday reporting a two-foot wide hole in the eastbound lane. The superintendent of the city’s wastewater treatment plant, Eddie Curry, told the Greenwood City Council Tuesday that the collapse in the pipeline was an emergency according to reporters from the Greenwood Commonwealth newspaper, saying that if the pipeline is not fixed, raw sewage will leak into the streets.
